Beginning The Journey...

Hello. My name is Amanda. I am starting this journal for a very good reason, and I am hoping to have this project accomplished within the next few years. My grandmother gave me this book quite a while ago and I have spent many days flipping through it. It is called "14,000 Things To Be Happy About" by Barbara Ann Kipfer. I have decided, after watching Julie & Julia, that I wanted to do something similar. I have fiddled around and done photography for a few years now and I have never found anything more beautiful than a well shot photo of something that makes you happy. So to simply put it, I am going to try and take a photograph of every single thing mentioned in this book. All 14,000 things, printed beautifully in a photo. I don't feel the need to give myself a deadline, nor do I believe that if I did that I would finish it. But I am going to start, and I am going to start today. I will not be going through the book in order, mostly because there will be a few things that would require a lot more attention than I have to give at this very moment. Some may require traveling, others may require a lot of searching for what ever the thing may be to photograph. This lady did spend 20 years putting this list together, so who knows, maybe it will take me 20 years to photograph it all. All in all, here we go.
